Your trust is the foundation of the Inner Circle. This notice explains, in plain words, which personal data we use, why, and the rights you hold under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

The data controller is , , registered office , entered in the , owner of the OWER® brand. For any privacy question, write to .

What we collect

  • Sign-in details: depending on the method you choose, your name and email address (Google or email link) or your mobile number (phone), and a technical account identifier.
  • Your membership request: your name, contact details and the journey you tell us you made with OWER, so that we can verify it against our own records. We never ask you to upload identity documents.
  • Circle activity: the date and time of each contribution (comments, appreciations, shares and contributions verified by our team), the points awarded, your level and your annual points.
  • Annual ranking: the top contributors are listed with their level and annual points. Visitors see the first name partly hidden (e.g. M****** T.); signed-in members see the first name and surname initial.
  • Share verification: the link to a public post you send us, so that we can check the tag before crediting points.
  • Trip dates: the start and end dates of your confirmed OWER booking, used only to activate Live Trip Mode during your journey.
  • Your comments: published on this page with your first name and the initial of your surname only.
  • Nothing more: we do not record your IP address, location or browsing history in our activity log, and we never sell or rent your data.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • Verifying your request and running the Inner Circle: checking your journey, showing your standing, publishing your comments, awarding points and rewards (steps at your request and performance of our agreement with you, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Fairness and security: monthly and yearly limits, protection against misuse (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Optional measurement: anonymous visit statistics, only if you accept analytical cookies (your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

How your data is handled

Member records and the activity log are kept in a private, access-restricted Google spreadsheet, reached only through our secure server script over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your email address is never sent to this page. Every contribution is checked on our server before it is written, and each entry in the log carries only your member code, the action, the points and a timestamp.

Sign-in is provided by Google Firebase Authentication. When you send a request, its details are emailed to our team at info@owertrip.com so that we can verify it. Google acts as our data processor under its data processing terms. Where data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Membership details are kept while your membership is active and for afterwards. Activity log entries are kept for . Annual points reset every year on December 31st; lifetime points and your level remain on your record until you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

  • Access a copy of your data, and rectify anything inaccurate.
  • Erase your data, or restrict its use.
  • Portability: receive your data in a common, machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, from Cookie Preferences.
  • Complain to a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ, uoou.gov.cz); you may also contact the authority where you live or work.

We answer every request within one month. No automated decision with legal effects is ever made about you.
